The Dodge Ram 1500 is Chrysler's best-selling vehicle in the United States. The Dodge Ram 1500 is available with three engine options; a 3.7L V6, a 4.7L V8, and a 5.7L V8. The base 3.7L engine is a single overhead cam unit with sequential port injection. The manufacturer rates the power output on the 3.7L engine at two hundred fifteen horsepower at five thousand two hundred revolutions per minute, and torque output is rated at two hundred thirty-five horsepower at four thousand revolutions
